After being defeated by his father after the third Iron Fist Tournament, Kazuya's father, Heihachi, wanted to permanently get rid of his son and threw his son into a volcano. However, the G Corporation revived Kazuya and worked with the Devil Gene to make Kazuya stronger and faster. With a better body Kazuya entered the fourth Iron Fist Tournament. However, the tournament did not end in a ring. Kazuya was to face Jin Kazama (his son) and obtain the part of the Devil he lost when Jin was conceived so that he could take over the world. However, before Kazuya's match Jin was kidnapped by Heihachi. When Kazuya realized he was tricked he knocked out Heihachi before he was to be kidnapped as well. Soon after however, Jin escaped becoming a hostage and defeated Kazuya and soon fled.
